Android-based Social Event app

Key challenges

It was required to build an app that can provide a cool way to promote your event. When you are in a different or the same region, you miss absolutely nothing from the latest happenings. An app was demanded by the client using which users can view the different pictures by scrolling up & down. Users will be able to present their business by selecting a theme/category & the location where they want to promote their event. Users will fill in the details like name, email address, pictures, & duration i.e. how long they want to display their event. In order to promote their business, they must have to fill a form and that form details will be submitted to the admin.

ValueCoders was approached by the client to develop this application based on the Android platform. The company worked closely with the client-consultant to create this application.

When they hired ValueCoders, we had to address the following tasks:

• Since the client was not technical so we had a detailed discussion and helped the client to build his business logic.
• We suggested some features to enhance the application concept.

While developing, we faced various challenges including the following ones:

• It was difficult to develop an application which allows users to find the information of the event in their nearby location/region.
• Maintaining the location services and embedding such features was another major challenge for us.
• Maintaining a huge database of the registered people was quite challenging.
